FOUR was appointed as the External Project Manager for the Marks & Spencer Wolstanton development, including the new build 140,000 sq ft shell in the existing Retail Park.

The project incorporated the fit-out of 100,000 sq ft over 2 floors, including 10,000 sq.ft of foods and 4,000sq.ft of cafe.

Demolition of the existing units was carried out with the main shell contract let in October 2013. The developer build programme ran from October 2013 to July 2014, when Marks & Spencer took vacant possession to facilitate a launch in November 2014 for the critical Christmas trading period.

Particular challenges include the integration with the enhancement of the existing ASDA store and the associated Section 278 works to the surrounding highway infrastructure.
